This global law firm is looking to recruit a Commercial Lawyer to join a new and growing team. Ideally, applicants will have between 3-6 years of PQE in a similar commercial role, specialising in commercial contracts. The role would be based in Edinburgh but also offers flexible working and the team is split across a number of locations including Edinburgh, Birmingham, Leeds or Manchester.

The market leading international Commercial Team works across the firm's global offices advising household name clients on business-critical projects across the full spectrum of commercial contract work. They are proactive, commercial and pragmatic, take pride in delivering work efficiently in an easily digestible format and think outside the box to find innovative solutions. They act as a seamless extension to their clients' management, procurement and in-house legal teams advising on strategic projects, commercial contract drafting and negotiations, assisting with precedent and legal process development and advising on day-to-day commercial contract matters.

They are leaders in innovation and not afraid to do things differently. The team is creative and delivers clients solutions – using the very best of people, process and technology through the advanced delivery team. This gives an unparalleled opportunity for team members to embrace the future of law and be at the forefront of these developments within the legal industry and their clients’ businesses.

In the UK, they work as a national team across the firm's global sectors and have a truly excellent portfolio of clients including PLCs, multi-nationals and entrepreneurial companies, Central Government, Universities and education providers, cutting edge technology companies and sporting entities.

The ideal candidate will have trained and worked in a large commercial practice and be able to demonstrate an excellent track record of drafting and leading the negotiation of complex commercial contracts and technology contracts, including on an international basis. A good understanding of the application of TUPE, data protection and intellectual property law in the context of long term services supply and outsourcing agreements would also be beneficial.
