Commercial Accountant – North Lanarkshire – Office based

Salary £50k to £55k

Lusona is working exclusively with one of our clients in North Lanarkshire to source suitable applicants for the post of Commercial Accountant. The business has three key entities in the service sector, which includes property, construction and technology.

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play a key role in producing accurate management information on a regular basis and the main duties will include:

• Preparation of monthly detailed management accounting for all large trading companies, supported by the FC and the finance team
• Production of project specific reporting e.g. budget v actual
• Monthly actual v budget/forecast and provision of meaningful analysis
• Working with the technology business to fully understand the key costing of the business
• Regular meetings with the senior finance and leadership teams to discuss financial performance
• Working with the leadership team to identify ways to improve financial performance
• Assisting with budgets and forecasts
• Ad hoc requirements for financial analysis from divisional heads
• Review effectiveness of internal controls

 To be considered for this role, you will ideally be fully qualified (ACCA, CIMA or ICAS) or be working towards an accountancy qualification. Previous commercial finance experience and excellent communication skills are essential for this role.
