A new opportunity for a Business Services Assistant Manager or Manager to join this successful and long-established Chartered Accountancy practice in Glasgow. Working closely with Senior Management, this would suit a qualified CA/ACCA with 1-2+ years post-qualified experience.

This is a role that offers genuine progression opportunity within a reputable firm that has a history of impressive employee retention and development. As Assistant Manager/Manager, responsibilities include:

  • Managing an interesting and diverse portfolio of clients, acting as client liaison for queries and advice
  • Review final accounts as prepared by junior members of the team, with additional responsibility to prepare accounts for some of the firm’s more complex clients
  • Support with a small number of client audits throughout the year - managing audit planning, budgets, timescales, completion and sign-off
  • Supervising a team of account trainees and seniors, providing guidance and mentorship to those working towards professional qualification
  • Support the firm’s digitalisation strategy, playing a key role in driving cloud accounting processes
  • Involvement with business development opportunities and projects
  • Providing ad hoc support to Partners, as required

You will be CA/ACCA qualified with demonstrable experience gained within an accountancy practice, preferably at portfolio management and review level. You will have excellent communication and team working skills, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. Experience of cloud accounting software including Xero, Sage Cloud and Quickbooks would be advantageous.
