Audit & Accounts Senior

Move into a mixed audit & accounts role

Hybrid working with improved work-life-balance for a newly-qualified CA/ACCA

Are you a recently or soon-to-be qualified Auditor looking to broaden your accounting experience? Our client, a successful and reputable CA firm in Glasgow are looking to grow their Audit & Accounts team and are seeking a self-starter to join their team. This firm has an excellent reputation and history of nurturing and promoting talented team members from trainee right through to Partner-level.

As Audit & Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for supervising audits of a wide range of commercial and charity clients. You will provide support and training to junior members of the team and act as a mentor to aid them with their own professional development. You will also be responsible for preparing statutory accounts and corporate tax computations for clients from a range of sectors.

Reporting to management, you will play an active role in ensuring both audit and accounting assignments are completed to deadlines, ensuring collation of necessary data, and identifying and reporting on any issues that may arise. You will be a key point of contact for clients, responding to queries and building strong, trusted relationships.

This role offers genuine progression and promotional potential as you develop your interpersonal skills and a strong commercial awareness to support your clients. The office environment is friendly and sociable, with many team members opting to work on a hybrid basis (1-2 days from home), but prioritising in-person client meetings, colleague collaboration, and training commitments throughout the year. Improved Work-life-balance, along with building direct client relationships are key benefits of joining this team from a larger firm.

Ideally you will be newly or nearly CA/ACCA/ACA qualified with 2-3 years’ experience of external audit gained within a UK Accountancy practice. Experience of preparing statutory accounts for SME clients would be beneficial, although not essential. You will be a strong communicator and enjoy working directly with clients. You will also have experience of relevant accounting systems/software (e.g. CCH Audit, IRIS, Xero, Sage, etc)

Salary will be offered dependent on experience + Benefits. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to move out of a 100% audit role, but is not currently attracted to a role outside of practice. To discuss in further detail before applying, please contact Lynsey Kerr on 07960 874 969 or lynsey@lusona.co.uk
