Employment Associate / Senior Associate (12-Month FTC)
Glasgow | Hybrid Working | 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
A highly regarded international law firm is seeking an experienced Employment Associate or Senior Associate to join its established Employment team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an employment lawyer with a strong respondent-side background to join a leading practice, working with a diverse client base across both the public and private sectors on a broad range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters.
The Role
Working as part of a collaborative and experienced team, you will advise employers on a wide variety of workplace issues and employment law matters, including:
- Employment Tribunal litigation
- Disciplinary, grievance and performance management issues
- Redundancy and restructuring programmes
- TUPE and business transfer matters
- Discrimination and whistleblowing claims
- Strategic HR and employee relations advice
- Drafting and reviewing employment documentation
- Supporting clients through complex workplace investigations and disputes
You will have the opportunity to work closely with a range of national and international clients while managing your own caseload and contributing to wider team initiatives.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be a qualified Solicitor with at least 4 years' PQE in employment law
- Have experience advising employer clients across a broad range of employment matters
- Possess strong Employment Tribunal experience
- Demonstrate excellent drafting, communication and client management skills
- Be commercially minded and able to provide pragmatic, risk-based advice
- Thrive in a collaborative team environment while working autonomously when required
- Be able to hit the ground running in a busy and varied practice
