Real Estate Planning Associate / Senior Associate
A leading international law firm is seeking a Planning Associate or Senior Associate (3+ PQE) to join its highly regarded Scottish Planning team.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a market-leading practice that advises on many of the most significant energy, infrastructure and development projects across Scotland and the wider UK.
The Opportunity
You will work alongside recognised experts in the field, advising a diverse client base that includes developers, energy companies, utilities, investors and public sector organisations. The role offers exposure to a broad range of planning and consenting matters, including:
- Major energy and renewable energy projects
- Infrastructure and development schemes
- Planning appeals and inquiries
- Compulsory purchase matters
- Development consent and consenting processes
- Environmental and regulatory issues
- Judicial review proceedings
This is a varied and high-profile role that would suit a lawyer looking to develop their expertise while working on complex, nationally significant projects.
About You
Applications are welcomed from candidates with:
- A minimum of 3 years' PQE
- Experience in planning law, whether gained within a dedicated planning team or a closely related area
- Strong technical and drafting skills
- Excellent communication and client relationship abilities
- A commercial and proactive approach
