Lusona Consultancy are delighted to be sourcing suitable applicants for the role of ‘Assistant Business Accountant’ with our leisure sector client. Based in Lanarkshire, you will support the wider finance team in preparing monthly management accounts, reconciliations, as well as assisting with forecasting and budgeting processes. A perfect opportunity for someone with an appetite to learn and develop their career.
This is an all-encompassing role, which will also cover areas of bookkeeping and administrative tasks. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Preparing the monthly management accounts and providing support on corresponding analysis.
- Reviewing any variances and finalising the P&L accounts.
- Assisting with the preparation of the monthly consolidated management accounts.
- Preparing annual budgets across various business units.
- Managing the balance sheet accounts and reconciliations for review.
- Specific P&L analysis
- Supporting non-financial stakeholders with financial information to aid their commercial decision making.
- Preparing and distributing the weekly KPI schedule
- Assisting with bookkeeping duties when required
- Any other ad hoc tasks as required
Ideally, applicants will be part qualified accountants working towards their professional qualification, or suitably qualified by experience. Likewise, an Accountancy/Finance graduate with an excellent appetite to learn and develop, with an element of previous work experience within a finance function will also be considered. It is important for applicants to have strong Microsoft Excel skills as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with the wider business.
