An exciting new opportunity for an Accounts Supervisor to join a respected mid-tier CA firm supporting their specialist Accounts and Advisory team. The firm has an excellent track record of promoting career development and progression, as well as offering a flexible and inclusive environment.
With a strong focus on year-end statutory accounts, you will manage a portfolio of SME clients, including a large percentage of professional partnerships in in the medical/healthcare sector. Key responsibilities include:
- Client portfolio management, ensuring planning, budget, costs, billing and communication is maintained
- Supervising junior members of the accounting team, providing support and training where required
- Providing training to clients on relevant software in support of their accounting needs
- Responding to and resolving client queries
- Carrying out review and completion processes to deadlines, ensuring clients are in receipt of final accounts, management letters and adjustment to opening balances
- Providing excellent client service, corresponding with clients to provide regular updates throughout the year
- Work closely with the wider business (including audit and tax colleagues) to ensure the full range of client needs are met
- Identify and support opportunities to further support your clients, involvement with ad hoc advisory projects
You will be a qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/ACA), or finalist, with good financial reporting knowledge and experience gained within practice. Knowledge of FRS 102 and FRS 105 is essential. You will be an excellent communicator and enjoy working in a client-focused role. Experience and understanding of accounting software packages including Sage, Xero and IRIS Accounts Production would be advantageous.
