Accounts Supervisor (Practice)

Experienced accounts professional required to join this successful mid-tier firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisors within their Accounting and Business Advisory Team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual with an eagerness to progress their career within Professional Practice and maintain a high level of client contact. This role will predominantly focus on statutory accounts preparation and consolidations for clients that fall within and below the audit threshold. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to carry out more financial reporting elements for larger corporate clients. 

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing the accounts for clients ranging from large corporates to SME’s (including consolidations)
• Working alongside the client through each step of the assignment - planning, reviewing, completion and the final meeting, ensuring that the final accounts, management letters and adjustments are presented.
• Monitoring the work in progress from each job, ensuring profitable recoverability.
• Working with the manager/partner to alert any material points and help to communicate this with the client accordingly.
• Collaborating with junior staff to understand the client’s assignments and provide training as and when necessary.
• Communicating with other departments within the firm to ensure that the client’s needs are fully met. This will provide you with the capability to cross sell other service lines to do so.

The successful candidate must be qualified (ICAS/ACCA), exam finalist or qualified by experience with substantial experience working within Accountancy Practice. It is essential that you are experienced in accounts preparation (including consolidations) and possess strong knowledge of UK financial reporting requirements.
