New opportunity for an Accounts Assistant Manager to join a successful and growing firm of Chartered Accountants and Advisers in Edinburgh. This role offers progression opportunity, flexible/hybrid working, and a chance to be part of trusted, client-focused team of advisers.

As Assistant Manager, you will have both review and supervisory responsibilities for a team of trainee and senior accounts staff. You will be responsible for reviewing financial statements, year-end accounts, and corporate tax computations. You may also be responsible for preparing more complex accounts work, and involvement with outsourced finance assignments and management accounts work on behalf of SME clients.

You will support management with the operational running of the team, pertaining to budgets, WIP and deadlines as well as responding to ad hoc client queries. You will also be involved with Partner-led advisory projects and be keen to develop your existing commercial and technical knowledge throughout.

You must be CA/ACCA/ACA qualified with demonstrable experience of preparing/reviewing year-end accounts, management accounts and VAT returns within a UK accountancy practice. You will enjoy working in a client-facing role and enjoy working as part of a team. Excellent time management, organisation, and communication skills are vital. Experience of relevant accounting systems, including cloud-based packages required.
