Accounts Assistant – Livingston
Location: Livingston
Salary: £27,000
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4pm
Work Arrangement: On-site, no WFH
Holidays: 30 days
Pension: Employer contribution of 6%
About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team in Livingston. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong communication skills, as credit control duties are a key part of the role. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raising sales invoices, processing purchase invoices, and bank transactions
- Handling CIS submissions to HMRC
- Supplier statement and weekly bank reconciliations
- Preparing Intrastat returns and BACS runs
- Managing sales applications for supply and fit projects
- Credit control calls on a monthly basis
- Monthly reporting using graphs
- Liaising with regional staff to ensure best accounting practices
- Maintaining financial confidentiality and record-keeping
What We’re Looking For:
Strong communication skills, particularly for credit control duties
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel skills beneficial, but training provided)
Previous experience in an accounts office environment (preferred)
Ability to work independently and within a team
