New opportunity for a part-qualified Accounts Assistant to join the sociable accounts team of this long-established firm of Accountants in Edinburgh. This is an extremely varied role providing an excellent client service to a broad and interesting portfolio of sole traders, professional partnerships and small limited companies.

As Accounts Assistant you will be responsible for:

• Preparing year-end accounts
• VAT returns
• Preparing corporate tax computations and returns
• Having direct contact with clients, responding to their queries and supporting Managers
• Acting as a role model and offering assistance to junior members of the team

Ideally you will be working through your professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CA) with 2 years+ experience gained within a UK accountancy practice. You will be a friendly communicator with good attention to detail. Experience of CCH, Sage and Xero would be advantageous.
