Accounts Assistant required to join the growing and successful Accounts & Business Services team of this highly-regarded CA firm.

This role, based in Aberdeen, has been created due to growth of a diverse portfolio of sole traders, partnerships, charities and small limited companies across a range of sectors. As Accounts Assistant, you will work in a collaborative and dynamic team with genuine opportunities to progress throughout your career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monthly and quarterly bookkeeping duties using a range of accounting software
- Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts and annual accounts for a varied client portfolio
- Preparing VAT returns
- Maintaining regular contact with clients, dealing with incoming client queries and escalating where appropriate
- Acting as a role model for the team and wider business, providing support to colleagues and ensuring clients are kept up to date with relevant information
You will have:
- Experience of working within accountancy practice (minimum 1-2 years)
- Started working towards (or motivation to work towards) professional qualification (AAT/ACCA)
- Experience preparing management and annual accounts for clients
- Excellent attention to detail, an analytical approach to your work and effective communication skills
- A passion for cloud accounting, ideally with experience/knowledge of Xero, Sage and/or Quickbooks software
