Excellent opportunity for a recently or newly-qualified Accountant to join the Accounts & Advisory team of this successful firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh. This is a truly career-enhancing opportunity for an individual who values and nurtures client relationships and enjoys acting in a business advisory capacity. With the option to be office-based, or work from home with occasional meetings on site, this practice has fully embraced a dynamic and efficient way of working following recent work from home measures.

You will manage your own varied portfolio of clients with responsibility for workflow, budgets and deadlines, as well as maintaining regular client contact in order to ascertain and meet their needs. You will also act in a supervisory capacity for junior members of the team, reviewing work and providing constructive feedback and mentoring where appropriate. There will also be an opportunity to support managers with ad hoc advisory projects and identifying business development opportunities through which to further support your clients.

This is a varied and interesting role that would suit a commercially minded problem-solver with excellent communication skills. You must also demonstrate an interest and passion for supporting colleagues and developing the team’s technical knowledge and abilities.

You must be a professionally qualified accountant (CA/ACCA/ACA) with experience gained within accountancy practice.  Strong financial reporting skills are essential, as are stakeholder management abilities and demonstrable commercial acumen. Experience of cloud accounting packages would be advantageous.
